Outstanding book! I could not put it down.

Gaining Ground is indeed about farming, markets, struggles, etc., but it is so much more than that. This book is for everyone, everywhere.

It’s funny, it’s sad, it’s far to much to even explain, but I have no doubt, that anyone that reads it, will love it as much as I did.

I will be sending this book to many of my friends.

    Dear Farmer Pritchard,
I have eagerly awaited your book for months, and was happy to find it at my Columbia Pike Farmer’s Market yesterday when I got my eggs and meat for the week. You’ve sustained our bodies – and you are now feeding our minds! I loved the book, and read it in one day. I loved the fact that it was $18.16, and enjoyed reading that part of the book. My thanks to you, Nancy, Betsy, Travis – and all the others who make our food.
    Sincerely,
    Susan.

    Forrest,

Just read your new book – in about 2 nights. Much to the chagrin of my wife- late night reading is not conducive to early morning chores here on our grazing farm. It was an epic read. Every paragraph we can relate to. Somtimes when things arent going well (which is often) it helps incredibly to know there are kindred sprits out there. I’m dragging this morning because I could not put your book down until 2am. Thanks a lot- I have 700 square bales to heave into the barn today. Its your fault :) Chuck Neely, RivenRockFarm.com, Highland County VA
