Guests At Smith Meadows Farm DayJoin us for a farm tour and potlock on June 1 to celebrate the debut of Gaining Ground: A Story of Farmers’ Markets, Local Food, and Saving the Family Farm. We have brought our grass-fed meats and home cooked foods to you at market, and now we would like to enjoy a meal together on the farm. The event begins at 3:30 with a short tour of the farm. You’ll get to see the animals, talk with our staff and show your family where your food grows. After the tour we’ll return to the gardens behind Smithfield Farm Bed & Breakfast where we will sit down to a traditional potluck. Smith Meadows will provide grilled hamburgers, freshly-brewed herbal ice tea, paper goods and cutlery.

Although this event is free, we do have to keep track of who’s bringing what for the potluck meal. Free tickets designated for specific dishes have been generated. Each adult is responsible for a dish and may bring a maximum of 3 children under 18 to the potluck. Please ensure that any single adult coming with children brings a dish large enough for the adult and children in their party. Children under 18 are not responsible for bringing a dish, but we must keep track of how many hamburgers to grill and how much tea to brew, so please get a ticket for each child.
